Welcome to yet another Late Night with SEO!
I, Simon Sundén, who are your host in the wonderful world of SEO, welcome you all to my new English only blog.
The story behind this blog is actually quite interesting. The whole thing started when I was blogging at my Swedish blog JoinSimon and I have always been interested in blogging in English. But, when you constantly work 14 hours a day with SEO, mostly with clients, the English blog has not been on the Top of the ToDo List.
The main reason for this is that my Swedish blog went down friday afternoon, and that sucks really bad. The worst thing is that during the weekends it’s impossible to contact the Web Hosting Company. Frustration… So, what to do? Time to start my English blog.
To start blogging is actually quite easy, but to come up with a good name, that’s hard! You could take the easy way and put up a blog on your own name, like simonsunden.com, but hey - That’s really boring!
One hour of soul searching looking for a good domain name I realized that I won’t come up with anything. The gods where not on my side this time either…
So I decided to do a bit of a competition on Jaiku (The Micro-blogging service that no-one uses except Swedish SEOs) for everyone to come up with a good name.
Over 20 different suggestions, i fell for one of the first. The winner is the 13-year-old Gustav that came up with LateNightSEO.com!
The price?
Well, Gustav won’t get any money, but he will get lots of link love from me, that I can guarantee!
So finally, here we are on this beautiful (actually, the weather sucks here in Stockholm) SEO Sunday and my blog is live. Right now the blog is not quite the best thing the world has seen when it comes to design, and quite frankly, the on-page SEO sucks! So stay tuned for a day or two and things will get better with the SEO and another “Late Night”-design.
Just to get one thing straight: I’m from Sweden, not Switzerland! And yes, the man below is Will Ferrell and not me…

I have got your Swedish blog in Google reader and now saw that you were posting here. The comment about Switzerland makes me want to finish my site swedennotswitzerland.com But as usual, so many ideas, so little time. =)
